oh christmas tree oh christmas tree“Oh, Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree…”, “Silent Night, Holy Night”… Oh! Sorry! We were just enjoying ourselves to some Christmas tunes over at Higgins Chiropractic! Holiday cheer has got us in the mood to do a fun blog post. Let’s have a Dan-good time learning about what Christmas means to Dr. Dan.

What is your favorite Christmas movie?
“It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Elf” are both of my favorites.

What is your favorite thing about winter?
My favorite thing about winter is Christmas, but that’s a boring answer so I’ll go to my second favorite thing. I love when we get a big snowfall in the weeks before Christmas. Big chunky flakes that accumulate to 6” or so is the best. I love the child-like excitement that it brings out in so many people.

Food and drink essentials for a Christmas meal:
Cheesy potatoes have to make a debut at some point on Christmas Eve or Day. There are just so many good food and drink options! I want to remind everyone to drink lots of water early in the day to stay hydrated so you can enjoy all the tasty treats.

How do you prepare for the holidays?
My preparation includes playing lots of Christmas music, decorating the house and cooking a couple batches of Chex mix.

What are the holidays like at your house?
The holidays are wonderful. We kick off the season with a family party on the 23rd of December. We go to mass on Christmas Eve. We spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my immediate and extended family as well as my wife’s. We eat delicious food. Open a couple gifts. And share a lot of conversation, games and laughter.

What’s on your Christmas wish list?
I want to spend as much time with my nieces and nephew as possible. Kids are the ones that make Christmas magic Other than that, I really hope I get a wheeled tote to carry firewood in! (Can you tell I’m a new homeowner?)

What does Christmas mean to you? Tell us in the comments below! And from all of us at Higgins Chiropractic, have a Dan-good Christmas! 🙂
