WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST VISIT
Welcome, we are happy to be part of your health journey. Upon your first visit, you will need to have filled out your new patient paperwork. (We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early if you would prefer to fill out your paperwork in person.) If you are using insurance, please have your insurance card ready as well.
You’ll next be taken to a treatment room. Dr. Dan or Dr. Abbie will begin by taking a thorough health history. They will perform an examination to help pinpoint the symptom producers and cause of your current condition.
After the history and exam, the Doctor will explain their findings and discuss your diagnosis. They will often end the visit with treatment. Lastly, you will return to the front desk where you can schedule a future appointment.
First visits to a new practitioner can be nerve-wracking. If you are apprehensive about treatment or the process, please share that with the Doctor. They will do everything they can to make the visit comfortable. Also, they will explain and educate you on everything they do before they do it, so you have the ability to ask questions. Questions are always welcomed and encouraged!
What to bring to your first visit:
- Medication list
- Athletic shorts or sweatpants
- Insurance card or information
- Completed new patient forms (if done in advance)
