H2O is the way to go! What are you really getting out of being hydrated? A whole lot as a matter of fact! Two-thirds of the human body is made up of water, so it’s pretty important to keep it hydrated! Here are a couple of things water does to your body:

drink water

  • Eliminate headaches
Did you know that the brain is 75% water? As captain of the ship, your brain needs to stay hydrated keep it in top-top form! Your brain orders to the rest of the body to function, so keep it hydrated!
  • Happy
The more water you drink, the more likely you are to be in a good mood according to recent studies. When you are hydrated you are less likely to be tense, depressed and confused… aka HAPPY!
  • Healthy skin
Drinking water keeps your skin vibrant. It also helps retain the skin’s elasticity. This doesn’t necessarily prevent wrinkles, but will slow down the process!
  • Weight Loss
Just like “healthy skin and wrinkles,” water won’t necessarily make you lose a ton of weight, but it will help in your weight loss journey. Water has been proven to suppress your appetite and burn calories while retaining none itself. (Nice, “fat-free, sugar-free drink!”)
  • Eliminate Waste
Water flushes toxins out of your organs allowing necessary nutrients to get to your cells. If you’re hydrated, your organs function better.
  • Relieves fatigue
Don’t make your heart work harder than it has to! When you’re running low on hydration, your overall blood volume drops, affecting your major organs.
